Summary

• M/s. Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Ltd proposed to set up an Information Technology and IT Enabled Services Special Economic Zone at Muringur and Thekkumuri Villages, Chalakudy Taluk, Koratty Panchayat, Thrissur District, Kerala.
• The Central Government had previously notified an area of 7.4909 hectares for the Special Economic Zone.
• The company has now proposed to de-notify an area of 5.0609 hectares from the Special Economic Zone.
• The State Government of Kerala approved the proposal on 9th January, 2024.
• The Development Commissioner, Cochin SEZ recommended the de-notification proposal.
• The resultant area of the Special Economic Zone after de-notification will be 2.43 hectares.
