(1) OUT of six Ramlila Committees of Delhi, representatives of Ramlila Committees at Baghdivar Ramlila Grounds, Gandhi Grounds, Subhash Maidan and Dangal Maidan are present in court and they state that they will not perform, depict or enact Sati Sulochana episode during the current Ramlila celebration. Shri B. Dutta, learned Additional Solicitor General who appears on behalf of the Union of India and Delhi Administration submits that the Govt. will not give permission to any Ramlila Committee including the Ramlila Committee at Sports Club to perform, depict or enact Sati Sulochana episode or glorify it in any manner during the Ramlila celebration. Inview of the statements made on behalf of the five Ramlila Committees referred to above and by the learned Additional Solicitor General, there is no necessity to issue or make any order in this case. In view of the statement made on behalf of the government, the Ramlila Committee at Sports Club also will not be able to perform, depict or enact the Sati Sulochana episode during the current Ramlila celebration. No further orders are necessary in this writ petition, which is accordingly disposed of.
