ORDER :
Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. These appeals are directed against the order passed by the High Court whereby the High Court dismissed the appeals filed by the appellants and upheld the conviction of the appellants.
3. Appellant Nos. 1 and 2 were convicted for the offences punishable under Section 489-B read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code. They were sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for five years and to pay a fine of Rs. 1,000/- for the said offences. They were also convicted for the offence punishable under Section 420 read with 34 of Indian Penal Code and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for three years and to pay a fine of Rs. 500/- each.
4. Appellant Nos. 3 and 4 were convicted for the offences punishable under Section 489C of Indian Penal Code and were sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for three years each and to pay fine of Rs. 500/-.
5. Appellant No. 5 was convicted for offences punishable under Sections 489-C and 489-D read with 34 of Indian Penal Code. He was sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for five years and to pay fine of Rs. 1,000/-.
