Heard.

2. We do not find any ground to interfere with the impugned order. The special leave petition is, accordingly, dismissed.

3. Pending applications, if any, shall also stand disposed of.

5. Having regard to the entirety of facts and circumstances of the present case, we modify the impugned order to the effect that the compensation payable to the respondents will be Rs. 15,00,000/- (Rupees Fifteen lakhs) with interest as awarded by the High Court.

6. The special leave petition is, accordingly, disposed of.

7. The balance amount, if any, be paid within a period of three months from today.

Civil Appeal No. 19603 of 2017 (@ SLP(C) No. 26263 of 2016)

8. Leave granted.

9. Heard learned Counsel for the parties.

10. The matter was earlier deferred to await the judgment of the Larger Bench which is now reported in 2017(13) Scale 12-National Insurance Company Limited v. Pranay Sethi and Ors.

11. The contention raised on behalf of the appellants is that in the light of the said judgment 40% increase on estimated income towards future prospects is required to be taken into account as the deceased was 40 years of
