Leave granted.
2. This appeal is directed against the final judgment and order dated 04.05.2018 passed by the High Court of Judicature at Madras in Criminal Revision Petition No.445 of 2018 whereby the Single Judge of the High Court dismissed the criminal revision petition filed by the appellant herein and affirmed the order dated 05.02.2018 of the XII Additional Special Judge for CBI cases at Chennai in Crl.M.P. No.5662 of 2014 in C.C. No. 15 of 2014.
3. A few facts need mention hereinbelow for the disposal of this appeal, which involves a short point.
4. The appellant herein is arrayed as accused No.3 in C.C. No. 15 of 2014 pending in the Court of XII Additional Special Judge for CBI cases, Chennai. The appellant is facing trial for commission of the offences punishable under Section 120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 read with Sections 7, 12 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (hereinafter referred to as "the PC Act") along with 6 other accused persons.
5. The appellant (A-3) filed an application (Crl. M.P. No. 5662/2014) before the Additional Special Judge for CBI cases at Chennai under Section 239 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973
