ORDER :

1. On 11th July, 2018, a statement was made that there are instructions given by the Land and Development Officer that the Municipal Corporations should go slow on sealing of unauthorized construction and should not seal premises.

2. Today, an affidavit has been filed on behalf of the Union of India by Mr. Anil Kumar, Under Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, Nirman Bhawan, Maulana Azad Road, New Delhi to the effect that no such instructions have been given.

3. Learned Attorney General appearing on behalf of the Union of India as well as learned Additional Solicitor General (Mr. A.N.S. Nadkarni) confirms that no instructions have been given by the Land and Development Officer to any Municipal Corporation to go slow or to stop the sealing process. It is submitted that the communication dated 20th May, 2018 has been misunderstood by the Municipal Corporations.

4. We have taken the affidavit as well as the statement of the learned Attorney General and the learned Additional Solicitor General on record.

5. No further orders are required to be passed in respect of Report Nos.119, 120, 121 and 124. The Municipal Corporations can continue with t
