The court has the authority to issue specific orders and directions in various matters brought before it.

JUDGMENT :

I.A. No. 79 of 2000

1. The order dated 2.11.99 is modified to the extent that the applicant is granted liberty to report before the concerned Police Officer at Tilak Marg Police Station, once in every fortnight. In case the applicant wants to go out of the NCT, he shall obtain prior permission of the ACP/DCP (Crime) New Delhi.

2. The prayer at page 5 of I.A. No. 79 stands withdrawn. The I.A. stands disposed of accordingly.

Matters relating to Disciplinary Proceedings against Officers of DDA/Central Government

3. These matters relate to various officers of the Central Government who are connected with the Skipper Case and with regard to whom we have issued show cause notices as to why their cases should not be referred to the Vigilance Commission. Some counters have been filed. Those who have not filed their counters are permitted to file the same within three weeks.

4. Mr. Dayan Krishnan, learned Amicus Curiae may file a list of submissions in regard to those who have already filed their counter.

5. The learned Senior counsel Sri. K. Parasaran, Sri. Rajeev Dhawan, Sri. Joseph Vellappally and others appearing in the case have suggested that 31st August, 2000 will be convenient for them for hearing of this matter.

6. This matter may be listed on 31st August, 2000 at 10.30 a.m., after obtaining appropriate orders from the Hon'ble the Chief Justice of India.

Matters relating to Israel Embassy

7. This matter may be listed on 10.8.2000 at 3 p.m. after obtaining appropriate orders from the Hon'ble the Chief Justice of India.

I.As. relating to Banks

8. These matters may be listed on 24.8.2000, at 10.30, after obtaining appropriate orders from the Hon'ble the Chief Justice of India.

LA. No. 80 of 2000 in SLP (C) No. 21000/1993

9. So far as prayers (a) and (b) are concerned learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty to pursue other remedies. Permission to withdraw granted with liberty to pursue other remedies. So far as prayer (c) is concerned out of the amount that is being deposited by the Israel Embassy towards the rent the Registry will release a lumpsum amount of Rs. 50,000/- in favour of Mr. Tejwant Singh to meet legal expenses. If the petitioner desires release of any further amount towards the legal expenses it will be open to the petitioner to make further application.

10. In addition to the above amount a sum of Rs. 20,000/- will be released per month out of the above said rent deposited in favour of Mr. Tejwant Singh.

11. It appears that in respect of some of the depositors in whose favour Justice Lahoti's Commission had passed orders for payment. The said depositors have not so far approached The Registry of this Court to collect the same. The Registry is, therefore, directed to issue notice such depositors to collect the monies at the earliest.
