ORDER
Leave granted.
2. This appeal challenges the judgment and order dated 06.05.2025 passed by the High Court of Himachal Pradesh at Shimla, in Crl.MP (M) No. 2836 OF 2024.
3. The appellant has been facing trial in connection with a crime registered pursuant to FIR No. 83 of 2023 dated 25.09.2023 lodged with Police Station Panchrukhi, District Kangra in respect of offences punishable under Sections 20, 25 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
4. The application seeking regular bail having been rejected by the High Court vide impugned order dated 06.05.2025, the appellant has preferred the instant appeal.
5. This Court vide its order dated 27.05.2026, issued notice in the instant matter.
6. Heard learned counsel for the appellant in support of the appeal and learned counsel for the respondent and perused the material on record.
7. Learned counsel for the appellant submitted that the appellant has been in jail since 25.09.2023; there has been substantial progress in the trial inasmuch as ten out of twenty witnesses have been examined; two other co-accused have been granted regular bail.
