( 1 ) THE award of the Motor accidents Claims Tribunal, Anantapur in o. P. No. 274 of 1985 dt. 5-10-1988 is putto challenge by the appellant who is the claimant in the O. P. , and said to be an injured person in a motor vehicle accident which occurred on 13-6-1985 at about 3-15 p. m. , near obulesu Kona on the Ghat road due to rash and negligent driving of the bus bearing no. AAZ1899 belonging to the respondent- a. P. State Road Transport Corporation by its driver. It was one of the batch of the cases which was tried together by recording common evidence and disposed of by a common judgment. By recording the evidence of negligence as against the Driver of the bus and by recording a finding of the appellant having suffered certain injuries, in para 17 of its judgment, the Tribunal assessed the compensation at Rs. 10,000/- as a global sum to be paid to the claimant.
