( 1 ) AGGRIEVED by the award dated 18-2-1992 in O. P. No. 162 of 1990 on the file of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal-cum-I Additional District Judge, chittoor, the claimant has filed this appeal.

( 2 ) IT is most unfortunate that a brilliant student and athlete by name mr. P. Raju, the appellant here in had to lose his left leg not because of his fault, but because of the fault of the driver of the vehicle bearing registration No. ADC 3282 belonging to the first respondent and insured with the second respondent.

( 3 ) THE facts, in brief, are that the claimant was a student of Intermediate in m. P. C. group studying in Chittoor. While he was returning home on a cycle from Indoor Stadium at Chittoor, on 27-1-1990 at about 4-15 p. m. , the bus bearing No. ADC 3282, involved in the accident, came in a rash and negligent manner in the opposite direction and on wrong side and hit the claimant near the place opposite to the Collector s Bunglow, Chittoor on Chittoor-Tiruttani road, as a consequence of which, he suffered multiple injuries to his left leg. Thereafter he had been admitted as in-patient at C. M. C. Hospital, Vellore and at other places. The final r
