( 1 ) THIS appeal is filed by the accused in Sessions Case No. 159 of 1987 on the file of the Sessions Judge, Adilabad aggrieved by the judgment dated 15-4-1988 convicting him under Section 302 I. P. C and sentencing him to suffer imprisonment for life.

( 2 ) THE case against the accused is that on 26-8-1986 at about 3. 30 p. m. he took his son by name Sriramulu into the paddy fields and killedhim by Stabbing with a knife on the chest. A charge under Section 302 i. P. C. was framed against the accused to which he pleaded not guilty.

( 3 ) THE prosecution examined 9 witnesses. P. VV. 1, who is the grand-father of the accused, deposed that the accused had two sons by name venkanna and Sriramulu. On the date of the death of the deceased, in the evening while he was at his house Torra Ramaiah came to him and told him that the accused stabbed the deceased Sriramulu and killed him in the fields and that the accused was holding the knife and threatening that be would kill the other members of the family and he was corning towards the house.
