Heard the learned counsel appearing for the appellant as well as the learned Public prosecutor, appearing for the State.

2. Appellant is the accused No.1 in the Sessions Case.

This Criminal Appeal, by the accused No.1, under Section 374 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, is directed against the judgment, dated 21.03.2005, in Sessions Case No.447 of 2003, passed by the II Additional Sessions Judge (Fast Track Court), Adilabad, convicting the appellant for the offence punishable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (for brevity “IPC”) and sentencing him to suffer imprisonment for life and to pay a fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default to suffer simple imprisonment for three months and also convicting for the offence punishable under Section 498-A IPC and sentencing him to suffer rigorous imprisonment for one year and to pay a fine of Rs.1,000/-, in default to suffer simple imprisonment for two months, directing to run both the sentences concurrently.
