JUDGMENT

JAGANMOHAN REDDY, J.:— These three appeals arise out of suits tried together with the consent of the parties as they relate to lands in the same village of Kesavarappadu and disposed of by a common judgment of the Subordinate Judge of Bapatla. A.S. No. 341 of 1953 arises out of O.S. No. 72 of 1951. A.S. No. 342 of 1953 out of O.S. No. 126 of 1950 and A.S. No. 343 of 1953 is filed against the judgment in O.S. No. 9 of 1951. In all these suits the appellants are the tenants and claim to be entitled to occupancy rights on the basis that Kesavarappadu Agraharam is an estate.

2. It is now necessary to state briefly the relevant facts in each of the suits.

3. In O.S. No. 126 of 1950 the plaintiffs allege that the suit lands are in the Agraharam village of Kesavarappadu which is an estate within the meaning of the Estates Land Act as amended in 1936 and 1945 and that therefore the suit land is a ryoti land and any tenant let into possession for agricultural purposes would acquire occupancy rights in that land.
