1. These two appeals have been filed by the defendants before the Trial Court challenging the common order dated 20.2.2016 on IA. Nos. 2 to 6 in O.S. No. 6254/2015. MFA No. 3009/2016 is directed against order on IA. No. 3 and MFA No. 3010/2016 against order on IA. No. 4.
2. Heard Sri Jayakumar S. Patil, learned Senior Counsel for the appellants and Sri Udaya Holla, learned Senior Counsel for the respondent.
3. For the sake of convenience parties shall be referred as per their rank before the Trial Court.
4. Respondent-plaintiff, a Public Limited Company filed the instant suit with several prayers. They may be summarised as under:-
(i) an order of injunction restraining the defendants from misappropriating or distributing plaintiff’s confidential information (IA. No. 4);
(ii) an order of injunction restraining the defendants from infringing patent No. 206766 (IA. No. 3);
(iii) an order of injunction restraining the defendants from using plaintiff’s trade mark “PQC STATCON”;
(iv) a direction to pay damages of Rs.5,50,00,000/- for breach of trust and infringement
