1. This is the criminal appeal preferred by the appellants/accused Nos. 1 to 4 being aggrieved by the judgment and order of conviction dated 26.02.2011 passed by the Sessions Court at Bagalkot in S.C. No. 45/2010. By the said judgment and order of conviction the appellants herein were convicted for the offences punishable under Sections 448, 341, 307, 506 read with Section 34 of the I.P.C.

2. Brief facts of the prosecution case as per the complaint averments, one Mahantesh/PW1 is the complainant in this case lodged the complaint alleging that he is staying in the address as mentioned in the complaint. Himself one Vijayalaxmi and one Ravikumar are the children born to their parents and they all married. His sister Vijayalaxmi was given in marriage to accused No. 1 of Lingapur S.K. village about 26 years back. The couple were having one female child namely Rekha. As there was a difference of opinion and dispute between the couple since from 1990, the sister of the complainant Vijayalaxmi is staying in the house of the complainant. At the time of marriage of Rekha, the daughter of the said Vijayalaxmi and accused No. 1 even though accused No. 1 was called for
