JUDGMENT :

B. A. PATIL, J.

1. The Criminal Revision Petition No.523/2016 has been filed by the petitioner/accused and the Criminal Revision Petition No.1159/2016 has been filed by the complainant challenging the judgment and the order of conviction and sentence passed by the LX Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru (CCH-61) in Criminal Appeal No.1257/2015 dated 27.02.2016, whereunder the judgment of conviction and order of sentence passed by the XXII Additional Chief Metropoliton Magistrate, Bengaluru City in C.C.No.29489/2014 dated 11.09.2015 was confirmed and the order of sentence to pay the fine was modified to an extent of Rs.12,10,000/- (Rupees Twelve lakhs ten thousand only) and in default to pay the fine amount, he shall undergo simple imprisonment for a period of six months. The complainant has preferred the present petition challenging the modification and reducing the fine amount ordered by the trial Court and also for requests for awarding the interest.

2. Though this case is listed frequently before this Court, the order sheet discloses the fact that the learned counsel for the petitioner/accused has remained absent and there is no representation.
