JUDGMENT
K Natarajan, J. - This appeal is filed by the appellants/claimants being not satisfied with the judgment and award passed by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Bengaluru, (for short 'Tribunal') in MVC No.5747/2012, dated 05.07.2014.
2. Heard the arguments of learned counsel appearing for the appellants as well as learned counsel for the respondent No.1-Insurance Company.
3. The status of the parties before the Tribunal is retained for the sake of convenience.
4. The claimants, who are the legal heirs of Chandrakala (now deceased) filed the claim petition under Section 166 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (for short M.V. Act) claiming compensation of Rs.10.00 lakhs, inter alia, contending that on 28.08.2012 at about 6.30 a.m., petitioner No.1 and his wife Chandrakala were proceeding on a motorcycle bearing Registration No.KA-03/HN-649 on Varthur Main Road, Bengaluru. At that time, a borewell lorry bearing Registration No.KA-01/MJ-1155 came in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to the motorcycle.
