ORDER :
The petitioner who is in person has knocked the doors of this Court in the subject petition seeking modification of the order passed by XIII Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge, Mayohall Unit, Bangalore in Criminal Appeal No.25120 of 2018 in terms of its order dated 23-12-2019 inasmuch as, the Court directs deposit of 10% of the amount of fine imposed on conviction upon the respondent contrary to the statute.
2. Heard the petitioner in person and Sri V. Satish, learned counsel for the respondent.
3. Sans details, facts in brief, are as follows:
A transaction between the petitioner and the respondent leads to registration of a crime for offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 (‘the Act’ for short) and invocation of Section 200 of the Cr.P.C. The Court takes cognizance of the offence on 7-02-2011 and registers criminal case in C.C.No.26468 of 2011. The respondent/accused was convicted and sentenced in terms of the order of the learned Magistrate dated 11-06-2018.
