JUDGMENT

1. Though this appeal is listed for admission, it is taken up for final disposal, with the consent of learned counsel for both the parties.

2. The claimants are before this Court praying for enhancement of compensation, not being satisfied with the compensation awarded under judgment and award dtd. 5/1/2019 passed in MVC No.1704/2017 on the file of the learned II Addl. Senior Civil Judge and Member, MACT, Belagavi (for short, 'Tribunal').

3. The claimants, who are the wife, children and mother of the deceased Yallappa, filed a claim petition under Sec. 166 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 seeking compensation for the accidental death of deceased Yallappa that took place on 26/1/2015 involving Tractor & trailers bearing registration Nos.KA-49/T-8520, KA-49/T9691 & KA-49/T-1256. It is stated that the deceased was aged about 46 years as on the date of the accident and he was earning Rs.5,00,000.00 per annum from agriculture.
