JUDGMENT :- This is an application for grant of bail. The applicant claims to be a student of Narendra Tidke College, Ramtek in B.A.-IT. He is shown as accused in P.O.R No. 191/13/2002 registered by Asst. Warden, Wild life and RF.O., Ramtek on 18-7-2002. The allegation against the applicant is that he was found in possession of a Leopard skin. The contention is that the applicant has committed an offence under sections 9, 39, 48(a), (b) and read with section 51 of the Wild Life Protection Act. It is the prosecution case that applicant contended that he had purchased Leopards skin from one Cobbler for Rs. 7,400/-. Shri Badar, the learned counsel for the State states that said Cobbler has been arrested. Since Cobbler has been arrested and Leopards skin is seized and the offence is not punishable with life imprisonment or death, and maximum sentence is of six years, I am inclined to grant bail to the applicant. The applicant has been in custody for about two months.
2. In the circumstances, it is directed that applicant be released on bail on his executing a P. R Bond in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- with one surety in the like amount subject to the condition that he will report to R.F.O.,
