ORDER
K.N. Basha, J.—The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking for the relief of direction to the 2nd respondent police to register the First Information Report on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner dated 28.12.2008, investigate the crime and to fi1e final report in accordance with law.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that in spite of the allegations contained in her complaint constituting cognizable offences, the second respondent police failed to register the First Information Report and thereby contravened the mandatory provision contemplated under Section 154 Cr.P.C.
3. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) on the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
4. I have carefully considered the submissions of both sides and also perused the materials available on record.
5. At the outset, this Court is constrained to state that the allegations contained in the complaint constituted cognizable offences. Before proceedings further, it is relevant to refer the decisions of the Hon’ble Apex Court in this regard.
