ARVIND SINGH CHANDEL, J.

1. This appeal is directed against the judgment dated 22.12.2015 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Gariyaband in Sessions Trial No. 4 of 2015, whereby the Appellant has been convicted and sentenced as under:

Under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code

Imprisonment for Life and fine of Rs. 200 in default of payment thereof, rigorous imprisonment for 1 month

Under Section 4 of the Chhattisgarh Tonhi Pratadna Nivaran Adhiniyam, 2005

Rigorous Imprisonment for 3 years and fine of Rs. 200 in default of payment thereof, rigorous imprisonment for 1 month

Under Section 5 of the Chhattisgarh Tonhi Pratadna Nivaran Adhiniyam, 2005

Rigorous Imprisonment for 3 years and fine of Rs. 200 in default of payment thereof, rigorous imprisonment for 1 month

2. Name of the deceased, in this case, is Sumitrabai Netam. According to the case of prosecution, on 3.8.2014 at about 8:30 a.m. the Appellant went to the house of Sumitrabai Netam and dragged her out of the house saying that she used to commit
