JUDGMENT :

1. The present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed by the petitioners, namely, Sh. Ram Avtar, Smt. Raksha Rathore and Smt. Naini Rathore for quashing of FIR No. 223/2011 dated 12.07.2011, under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Tilak Nagar on the basis of the mediation report, Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, New Delhi in view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent No.2, namely, Smt. Kavita Rani on 10.01.2013.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent-State submitted that the respondent No.2, present in the Court has been identified to be the complainant/first-informant of the FIR in question by SI Satbir Singh.

3. The factual matrix of the present case is that the marriage between petitioner no.1 and the respondent no.2 was solemnized on 26.06.2009 as per Hindu rites and rituals. Just after a week of marriage, the mother-in-law, the husband and the sisters-in-law of the complainant started to harass her dowry. They also asked for a sum of Rs. 3 lakhs from the complainant and when she refused for the same, she was beaten up by the said persons. On 05.06.2010, the complain
