1. Issue notice. Mr. Mann accepts notice. I have heard learned counsel for the appellant as well as counsel for the respondent/ CBI and proceed to dispose of this application.
2. The appellant has preferred this application to seek the suspension of sentence and grant of bail. The appellant stands convicted u/s 419 IPC and u/s 13(2) read with section 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act (PC Act) by the impugned judgment dated 05.11.2016 passed in CC No.1572/105 by Sh. M.K. Nagpal, the learned Special Judge (P.C. Act), CBI-08, Central District, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi. The appellant has been awarded the sentence of three years RI for the offence punishable u/s 13(2) read with section 13(1)(d) of the PC Act, and to further undergo RI for a period of one year for the offence punishable u/s 419 IPC. In addition to the above, he has also been subjected to fine of Rs.50,000/- and Rs.25,000/- respectively for the above said offences,
