CS(COMM) 663/2022 and I.A. 8468/2023 (under Order XIII(A) r/w Section 151 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 seeking a summary judgment)
1. The Plaintiffs seek a summary judgment asserting that Defendants No. 1 to 13, the primary contesting Defendants, have no real prospect of succeeding in the present suit. No substantive relief is sought against Defendants No. 14 to 24, and they have only been arrayed as parties solely for ensuring proper execution of the Court Orders.
2. Defendants No. 1 to 13 have been served with summons in the suit and yet none of them have chosen to join the proceedings. In such circumstances, there is no reason to issue notice to them in the present application. Accordingly, we proceed to decide the application ex-parte.

Their core activities encompass the creation, production, and distribution of motion pictures and cinematograph films. These companies have united in a collective effort to combat the pervasive issue of piracy.
