JUDGMENT

Sanjeev Sachdeva, J.

CM. APPL. 36465/2021 (Exemption)

Allowed, subject to all just exceptions.

W.P.(C) 11783/2021

1. Petitioners seek a direction to the respondent to change the name of the biological father and mother in the birth certificate of the daughter adopted by the petitioners by way of registered Deed of Adoption dated 03.02.2021.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the change in the birth record is permitted in terms of the policy of the respondent dated 15.05.2015. He submits that an application was made on 27.09.2021, however, the same has not been processed till date.

3. Issue notice. Notice is accepted by learned counsel for the respondent.

4. Learned counsel for the respondent-corporation submits that the procedure of accepting physical applications has been discontinued and now only online applications are received and since the petitioner has not filed an online application, said application could not be processed.

5. She under instructions submits that if an online application is filed by the petitioner, same shall be expeditiously considered and dispose of in accordance with law and Respondents shall carry out the correction in
