3. National Insurance Company Limited (hereafter the `appellant') has filed the present intra-court appeal under Section 37(1)(c) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereafter `the A&C Act') impugning an order dated 08.04.2022 (hereafter `the impugned order') passed by the learned Single Judge in OMP

4. By the impugned order, the learned Single Judge rejected the application filed by the appellant under Section 34 of the A&C Act seeking to set aside the arbitral award dated 14.08.2020 (hereafter `the impugned award') rendered by the Arbitral Tribunal comprising of a Sole Arbitrator.

5. The controversy in the present case relates to the claims made by the respondent in respect of a Standard Fire and Special Perils Policy purchased by the respondents from the appellant. The relevant facts necessary to address the controversy are as under:
