Mr. Justice P.K. Shamsuddin, President — This appeal is directed against the order passed by the District Forum, Kottayam in O.P. No. 861/92.

2. The only point raised by the Counsel for the appellant is that the District Forum committed a mistake in not awarding interest for the period subsequent to 6.4.92. As a matter of fact subsequently the District Forum corrected this mistake in a review petition but on appeal we held that the District Forum has no power to review and set aside the order. Since the appellant has filed an appeal against the order it would be appropriate to correct the omission by ordering that the complainant would be liable to pay interest at the rate of 17.5% on the balance amount for the period subsequent to 6.4.92 upto the date of payment. Subject to the above modification the appeal is dismissed.

Appeal dismissed.
