Final Decision: The present revision was disposed of, and the parties were directed to appear before the District Forum to record the reasons for the conclusion reached regarding the delay in filing the complaint for an insurance policy.
Mr. Justice J.B. Garg, President — National Insurance Company has filed the present revision against the order of District Forum, Union Territory, Chandigarh, dated 19.1.96. The contention of the revision petitioner is that this order has been passed without mentioning any reason for condoning the delay. A perusal of the order shows that it contains general observation that the Forum was of the view that there was sufficient cause for not filing the complaint within the prescribed period of limitation. This order is cryptic in the circumstances of the case where the insurance policy was for the period 13.4.88 to 12.4.89. Accordingly without going into the detailed contentions of the parties on this issue, we set aside the impugned order and direct the parties to appear before the District Forum, Chandigarh on 23rd October, 1996. The District Forum after hearing the parties shall record the reasons for the conclusion it reaches. The present revision stands disposed of.
2. Since the question involved inter se the parties is the same in other connected revision petitions, this order will also dispose of Revision Petitions No. 8 to 56 of 1996.
Revision disposed of.
