Mr. Justice A.L. Bahri, President—The short question involved in this appeal is regarding replacement of a Gas Regulator Mrs. Lalita Sharma of Mansa was a consumer of gas being supplied through Ganga Gas Service, Mansa. Ganga Gas Service is getting gas from Indian Oil Corporation. Since the regulator of the gas was leaking, the opposite party was approached for its replacement. Having failed to get the replacement, District Forum was approached. In the written version submission by the opposite party, undertaking was given to replace the regulator if the same was defective. Similar representation was made by the Counsel for the opposite party during the proceedings. On the evidence produced by the parties, the impugned order was passed by the District Forum, Mansa on August 13,1997 directing the opposite party to replace the regulator and to pay costs and compensation of Rs. 500/- to the complainant, hence this appeal by the opposite party.
