JUDGMENT

P.C. Misra, President - An application has been filed by the appellants for transposition of respondents 2 and 3 as appellants 3 and 4. It was stated that they were not available at the time of filing of appeal for which they were not added as appellants. Their transposition as appellants will not cause prejudice to the respondent. We therefore allow the prayer.

Life Insurance Corporation which was represented by its responsible officers as opposite parties in C.D. Case No.177 of 1994 before the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum. Berhampur are the appellants challenging the final order passed in the said case.

The complainant's case is that the Life Insurance Corporation is guilty of deficiency in service for not paying the amounts under two insurance policies, each for rupees one lakh. He has also prayed for compensation of rupees one lakh against the present appellants. The case of the complainant is that his wife took 3 insurance policies bearing Nos. 60501864 for Rs. 50,000/- in the year 1982, 580342625 for a sum of Rupees one lakh and 580344487 for a sum of rupees one lakh on 7-11-1989. From the Life Insurance Corporation of India. She died on 13-5-1992 in M.K.C.G. Hospi
