Dr. P. D. Shenoy, Member—These petitions are filed against a common order of the Karnataka State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Bangalore dated 5.8.2004 in appeal Nos. 743 and 820 of 2002. As both the petitions arise out of the same order they were heard together and a common order is being passed.
2. The complainant P. Subash is a minor represented by his father Shri B. Panchaksharaiah. The case of the complainant in brief is that he was injured in a road traffic accident on 11.5.2000 at about 9.30 a.m. and suffered serious injuries to his left leg. He was taken to Shridevi Hospital and Shridevi Diagnostic and Research Centre, Tumkur (Respondent No.1). X-ray and CT Scan were done and POP slab support was put on the fractured left leg and treatment was also given by Dr. Tyagaraju respondent No. 2. On 13.5.2000 Dr. V. Anjan Kumar Valmiki Respondent No. 3, advised the injured to undergo Sound Doppler test, which according to the respondent No. 3 was done at 8.00 p.m. on the same night.
