After hearing learned counsel for the appellant and going through the application for condonation of delay, we find that sufficient cause has been shown by the appellant for not filing the appeal within time. Consequently, the delay of 112 days in filing the appeal is hereby condoned.

Harjinder Singh son of Chanan Singh had got a life insurance policy from the respondent Life Insurance Corporation of India (hereinafter called the ‘Insurance Company’) in the sum of Rs. 3,00,000. Smt. Kulwinder Kaur (wife of Harjinder Singh), complainant, was mentioned as the nominee in the insurance policy.
