JUDGMENT

K.C. Gupta, President—This appeal has been directed by the appellant against order dated 31.10.2003 passed by Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Ferozepur (for short hereinafter to be referred as District Consumer Forum) vide which his complaint was dismissed without any order as to costs.

2. Briefly stated the facts are that Sh. Harjot Singh, appellant (complainant), Aged about 35 years was working in the house of one of his clients on 23.10.2002. At about 5.30 p.m., he received minor injuries on two fingers of his left hand. He was rushed to National Clinic, where two stitches were done on the big finger and medicines were also administered before he was discharged. The treatment continued for about 10 days. During the said period, the small finger was cured but the big finger was in the process of healing.

3. It was next averred that on 3.11.2002, he felt pain in the big finger and was rushed to Manoj Nursing Home of the respondent at about 8.30 p.m. Dr. Ashwani Kumar amputated the big finger of the appellant and applied some stitches thereafter. He remained under his treatment from 3.1.2002 to 7.11.2002. He spent Rs.145 per day on account of dressing and medicines includ
