Sunil Kumar Garg, President— This appeal has been filed by the appellants LIC against order dated 6.9.05 passed by the District Forum, Nagaur in complaint No.81/2005 by which the complaint of the complainant Paan Kanwar was allowed in the manner that the appellants were directed to pay a sum of Rs. 1,00,000, the amount of the LIC policy along with interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of the complaint and further to pay Rs. 1,000 as amount of costs.
Note: During the pendency of this appeal Smt. Paan Kanwar, complainant had died and today an application has been moved for taking her LRs on record and since the counsel for the respondent has no objection, the application is allowed and LRs are taken on record and amended cause title has been filed by the appellants.
It arises in the following circumstances:
That the deceased complainant respondent. had filed a complaint before the District Forum, Nagaur on 9.6.05 inter alia stating that her husband Bhanwar Lal, now deceased had taken a life insurance policy for a sum of Rs. 1,00,000 from the appellants bearing policy No.501281777 on 19.2.04. It was further stated in the complaint that the deceased had died on 2.12.04
