Dr. B.C. Gupta, Member—This revision petition has been filed under section 21(b) of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 against the impugned order dated 31.07.2014 passed by the Odisha State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (for short ‘the State Commission’) in First Appeal No. 419/2013, “M/s. Rourkela Technical Education Society versus State Bank of India”, vide which while dismissing the appeal, the order passed by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Sundargarh, Rourkela, dismissing the consumer complaint No. 54 of 2013 filed by the present petitioner was ordered to be dismissed.

The petitioner/complainant is a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and is running a technical educational institute known as Rourkela Institute of Technology (RIT) at Kalunga in Odisha. The society is represented through its Secretary Pravat Kumar Mohapatra in the present proceedings.
