This revision petition has been filed by the petitioner/complainant against the order dated 16.03.2017 of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Punjab (in short ‘the State Commission’) passed in FA No.398 of 2016.
2. Brief facts of the case are that the petitioner/complainant was employed with service of respondent No.2 from the year 1979 till 29.5.2013 when he retired. He submitted the claim forms to the concerned authorities of respondent No.1, however, the same were not registered in time and were only registered on 23.12.2013. Accordingly respondent No.1 fixed the pension from 23.12.2013 only, whereas the claim of the petitioner/complainant is that he should get the pension from the date of retirement i.e. from 29.05.2013. Thus, the complainant suffered a loss of pension for seven months. The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Hoshiarpur (in short ‘the District Forum’) vide its order dated 12.04.2016 allowed the complaint No.167/2015 as under:-
