Mr. Justice J.M. Malik, Presiding Member. - Late Sh. Jagtar Singh, the insured, obtained one Savings Bank Account No. 65072170599 with State Bank of Patiala, OP1. He obtained the services of OP, for obtaining a term loan of Rs. 1,75,000, against Loan Account No. 650723979930. He also opened a one-Limit Account No. 65072391632 for a sum of Rs. 50,000 with OP1, in order to secure the loan amount. Sh. Jagtar Singh had other loanees got them insured for a sum of Rs. 1,00,000 each, from the SBI Life Insurance Company, OP3 i.e. Swadhan Group Insurance Scheme and State Bank of Patiala, Head Office, OP2 which was the master policy holder, valid for a term of 10 years. Sh. Jagtar Singh was supposed to pay an annual premium of Rs. 3,642 fixed, for each member, which was to be deducted from the account of the Account Holder. The first premium was deducted by OP1, from same Bank of the deceased. His wife, Smt. Sukhwinder Kaur/complainant, was the nominee.
