R.S.MADAN, B.M.BEDI
LIFE INSURANCE CORPORATION OF INDIA – Appellant
Versus
SUMAN – Respondent
ORDER
R.S. Madan, President - Despite repeated calls since morning none has appeared on behalf of the respondent-complainant. It is already 12.55 p.m. This appeal relates to the year of 2005. The perusal of the order-sheet reflects that none has appeared on behalf of the respondent-complainant for the last three consecutive hearings i.e. after 17.4.2007. Under these circumstances, we do not think it appropriate to adjourn this appeal indefinitely and proceed to decide it after hearing the learned Counsel for the appellant and going through the case file.
This appeal has been preferred against the order dated 15.2.2005 passed by District Consumer Forum, Rewari in complaint No. 56/2004 which relates to the insurable benefits in respect of Life Insurance Policy obtained by Deepak Sharma, husband of the respondent (complainant).
2. Undisputed facts of the present case are that Deepak Sharma (hereinafter referred to as the Life Assured) had got his life insured with the appellant-opposite parties vide three Insurance Policies, the details of which are given below:
Policy No. Date of Commencement Sum Insured Plan and Duration
111617172 28.1.1993 50,000 74 for 15 years
330512997 28.1.200
