ORDER
S.R. Khanzode, Presiding Member - This appeal takes an exception to an order dated 20.11.2006 passed in consumer complaint No. 585/96, Mr. Madhukar Omkar Tarhale v. The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority, by Mumbai Suburban District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum. Impugned operative order reads as under:
"1. The complaint is allowed with cost.
2. The opponent-MHADA shall transfer the title in favour of the complainant and shall provide all necessary documents to the complainant within six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Else, the complainant shall be entitled for penalty of Rs. 500 per month, for any delay.
3. The opponent-MHADA shall pay compensation of Rs. 10,000 to the complainant and cost of complaint Rs. 1000 to the complainant within one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Else, the complainant will be entitled to claim penal simple interest @ 12% p.a. for any delay.
4. Rest of the claims stands rejected."
2. Feeling aggrieved thereby, opponent - The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (herein after referred as MHADA ) preferred this appeal.
