ORDER

Mrs. Jasbir Kapoor, Presiding Member - This is an appeal filed by the National Insurance Co. (in short the appellant ) against the order dated 11.8.2005 of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Kapurthala (in short the District Forum ) by which the complaint of the complainant (in short Respondent No. 1 ) was allowed by the District Forum. The following is the operative part of the order:

"Thus, we allow the complaint of the complainant and grant Rs. 1,50,000 along with interest at the rate of 12% per annum from 23.3.2004 till realisation of the above amount. We also award Rs. 250 as costs of the complaint.

The above reliefs be complied with by the opposite party Nos. 1 and 2 within a period of one month from the date of receipt of copy of the judgement."

2. Brief facts of the case are that respondent No. 1 had taken Hospitalization and Domiciliary Hospitalization Mediclaim Policy for him, his wife and other family members on 31.3.2003. The agent of the appellant had issued that policy after full verification and received the premium of Rs. 3,534 for his and his wife's insurance.
