ORDER

Mrs. Neena Sandhu, Member - This is an appeal filed by the appellant/opposite party No. 1 against the order, dated 20.6.2011 passed by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum-I, UT, Chandigarh (hereinafter to be called as the District Forum only) in complaint case No. 601 of 2010 vide which, it accepted the complaint of the complainants (now respondents) and directed the OP No. 1 Kingfisher Airlines Ltd. (now appellant) and OP No. 2 (in the complaint) as under:

"As a result of the above discussion, this complaint is accepted and OPs Nos. 1 and 2 are directed to pay a sum of Rs. 60,000 to the complainants as compensation for mental agony and harassment besides Rs. 15,000 as costs of litigation, within one month from the date of receipt of the certified copy"

2. In brief, the facts of the case are that the complainants planned a trip to Srinagar and for this purpose approached M/s. Bajaj Travels Ltd. (OP No. 3) in the complaint who is carrying on its business of travel booking at Chandigarh. It was stated that they got booked tickets of Kingfisher Airlines through M/s.
