ORDER :

B.S. Verma, President—This appeal under Section 15 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 is directed against the order dated 30.6.2010 passed by the District Forum, Udham Singh Nagar in consumer complaint No. 117 of 2003.

2. Briefly stated the facts giving rise to the appeal are that the appellant and respondent No. 5 along with Sh. Sagarmal and Sh. Daljeet Singh (all complainants before the District Forum) are running a partnership firm under the name and style of Mahavir Industries. The said firm is engaged in the work of rice milling. The work of rice milling is seasonal and the duration of the season is from October to February. In the month of October, 1997, with an intent to run the business smoothly, the complainants had taken a cash credit limit of Rs. 25,00,000 from Oriental Bank of Commerce, Sitarganj, Udham Singh Nagar (opposite party No. 2 before the District Forum). The said cash credit limit was renewed by the bank from time-to-time. On 27.10.2001 and 29.10.2001, the complainants deposited a sum of Rs. 21,36,000 and Rs. 5,00,000 respectively with the bank for renewal of the cash credit limit and also submitted the required documents with the bank.
