ORDER
This petition has been filed under Section 21(b) of The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 (corresponding Section 58(1)(b) of the Act 2019) in challenge to the Order dated 12.07.2021 of The State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Delhi in appeal no. 505 of 2018 arising out of the Order dated 23.10.2018 of The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission-X, Delhi in complaint no. 667 of 2007.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the insurance co. (the petitioner herein). Perused the material on record, including the District Commission’s Order dated 23.10.2018, the State Commission’s impugned Order dated 12.07.2021 and the petition.
3. The matter relates to a claim made by the complainant (the respondent no. 1 herein) with the insurance co., on the insured vehicle meeting with an accident.
The accident occurred in 2006, we are now in 2021, the matter is still not settled.
4. The District Commission vide its Order dated 23.10.2018 ordered the insurance co. to pay the insured declared value of the vehicle i.e. Rs.8,50,000/- with interest at the rate of 9% per annum from 01.05.2006.
