ORDER

K.B. Sangannanavar, Judicial Member.—This complaint is filed U/s 17 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, to direct the OPs to pay Rs.29,41,855/- being claim under three policies and to pay Rs.2,50,000/- towards mental shock, agony and loss of income along with interest at 9% p.a. from the date of complaint till realization.

2. The facts in brief as stated by the Complainant, he being the husband of Smt. Surekha and nominee of the policies bearing no.003176097, 003835860 & 005047195 respectively, stated that his wife has obtained these policies during her life time and she expired on 31.10.2011. In this regard he made claim of three polices with sum assured of Rs.5,07,855/-, 3,04,000/- & Rs. 21,30,000/- respectively in the same order as stated above. When the Ops repudiated the claims and also failed to comply with the notice dtd.21.06.2012 issued on OP.1, has raised consumer complaint alleging unfair trade practice and deficiency of service sought for direction as prayed against the OPs.
