ORDER
Kumkum Rani, Judicial Member II.—This appeal has been preferred against the judgment dated 03.07.2015 in consumer case No. 05 of 2015 styled as Khasti Devi vs. Life Insurance Corporation of India, wherein and whereby the learned District Consumer Forum was pleased to allow the petition of the respondent by directing the appellant to pay Rs. 3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lacs only) alongwith Rs. 5,000/- as costs and Rs. 5,000 towards mental pain & agony within one month from the date of judgment.
2. Facts giving rise to this appeal, in brief, are as such that the deceased husband late Sh. Darban Singh of the claimant purchased five L.I.C. policies bearing Nos. 243151323, 243151324, 243160448, 243160449, 243160450, 243160451 & 243160452 respectively from the opposite party, but he was murdered by some miscreants on dated 11.02.2014. After the death of her husband (late Sh. Darban Singh) the complainant as legal heir submitted her claim for the grant of insured amount, but the opposite party merely allowed the claim in respect of policy Nos. 243151323, 243151324 & 243160452 and repudiated her claim in rest policies bearing Nos. 243160448 of Rs. 10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten lakhs), 2431604
