ORDER

This is an appeal questioning the order of the West Bengal State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Consumer Complaint No.58 of 2019 dated 31.10.2019. The Complaint was allowed directing the Appellant to refund the entire sum of Rs.22,50,000/- with a cost of Rs.25,000/- and to pay a compensation of Rs.10,00,000/- or else in default pay 9% interest thereon.

A delay condonation application being IA/20071/2019 was also preferred which does not seem to have been disposed off. In view of the submissions raised and cause shown for condoning the delay, the same appears to be sufficient and therefore the delay condonation application is allowed and the appeal shall be treated to be within time.

3. From the order sheet it appears that without there being any formal admission of the appeal, parties were directed to file their written submissions and orders were passed on 12.05.2023 posting the case for final hearing on 26.10.2023 with further liberty to the parties to file short synopsis of written arguments if not filed earlier. The synopsis/arguments have been filed that are on record.
