( 1 ) ). RULE. This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent no. 1 - Mamlatdar, Talala, Dist. Junagadh, to issue caste certificate to the effect that the petitioner belongs to scheduled tribe category and also for quashing and setting aside the order dated 25-7-2001 passed by the Mamlatdar and for a direction to the respondents no. 2 to 4 to treat the petitioner as scheduled tribe candidate on the basis of the documents produced by the petitioner for the purpose of admission to M. B. B. S. course.

( 2 ) ). IT is stated that the petitioner belongs to "rabari" community hailing from Gir, Barda and Alech areas of Junagadh District and that community has been declared to be scheduled tribe community. As per the notification of the President of India dated 29-10-1956 the persons belonging to Rabari community who were residing in various NES in Gir, Alech and Barda Forest area were declared to be the persons belonging to the scheduled tribes. After such persons migrated for various reasons, they are required to be declared as scheduled tribe persons and the concerned revenue authorities are required to give such certificate on the basis of the various doc
