JUDGMENT :

In the facts of the case and having regard to the consent and request of learned advocates for the respective parties, the petition was taken up for final consideration.

1.1 Rule, returnable forthwith. Learned Assistant Government Pleader Mr.Ishaan Joshi waives service of Rule.

1.2 Heard learned advocate Ms.Mamta Vyas for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. What is prayed in this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution is to direct the respondent authorities to issue order of appointment to the petitioner for the post of Unarmed State Reserve Police-Lok Rakshak and to grant the consequential benefits.

3. The facts in the background inter alia are that pursuant to the advertisement published on 26th October, 2016 for the post of Lok Rakshak, the petitioner made application. The petitioner cleared written as well as physical examination. The name of the petitioner was placed in the waiting list. Order came to be passed on 21st August, 2018 by the respondent authority, whereby the petitioner was selected and given posting at SRPF Group VI, Sabarkantha.
