The petitioner in W.P(C).No.13488/2020 is the appellant before us, aggrieved by the judgment dated 4.3.2021 of the learned Single Judge in the writ petition.

2. The brief facts necessary for disposal of the writ appeal are as follows :

The writ petitioner had responded to Ext.P1 notification dated 3.3.2016 published by the Travancore Devaswom Board, inviting applications for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor in various subjects, including Computer Science, in the Colleges managed by the Travancore Devaswom Board, which are affiliated to the Kerala University. The notification specified that the eligibility qualifications for the candidates would be as per the Rules and Regulations of the UGC/University/Government, and the upper age limit of the candidates would be as applicable for appointment in Government Colleges. It is not in dispute that the petitioner along with others applied for the post, and in the selection process that ensued, a rank list was drawn up, in which, the petitioner was not included.
